Nude bathing has come a long way. No longer the domain of an exclusive clique, many people are now turning to skinny dipping to add a fresh experience to their beach holiday – even if they wouldn’t necessarily classify themselves as naturists.

Formentera is only a 30-minute ferry ride from Ibiza but a world apart in terms of atmosphere and tranquility. Inch Strand is included in a list of ‘the world’s best nude beaches and resorts’. The beach in west Kerry is also on an unofficial naturist trail. This inclusion, by the new guide for naturists follows a call by the Irish Naturists’ Association for local authorities to support their request for nudist beaches in Ireland.
