The Spanish Naturist Federation (FEN) has updated its website which now includes a comprehensive map-based guide to the hundreds of nude beaches in Spain and the islands.

Chambres d’Hôtes Naturistes La Fenouillère is a spacious villa built in the hills just outside Brignoles, in the Var-Provence-France. Run by Dutch naturists, Geert and Marijke, the 7000 m² property has attractive gardens, and is located between vineyards and olive trees. The B&B has three en suite guest bedrooms and a newly constructed swimming pool with extensive terraces.

Naturist Camp Mali Raj (which means ‘Small Paradise’ in Slovenian) is located in Dolenje Polje near Dolenjske Toplice on the northern bank of the river Krka, surrounded by attractive countryside. The secluded site offers naked canoeing on the river, in addition to the normal campsite facilities.

We have only just heard about Blind Creek naturist beach on Hutchinson Island, which is situated between Fort Pierce and Jensen Beach on Florida’s Treasure Coast. Apparently, casual nude use was for a long time common at the remote and primitive location, but it has now been recognized as clothing-optional by local law enforcement as lawful. It attracts a family-friendly crowd and is supported by the Treasure Coast Naturist Group.

The naturist camping and caravanning site of Domaine de Sarraute near the town of Le Houga, is situated in the Gers department, southwestern France. It opened in 2011 after a number of years development and is a member of the Fédération Française de Naturisme (FFN). Extending to 26 hectares of grass and woodland on a sloping site, accommodation is available in mobile homes in addition to a choice of pitches for self-contained campers. There’s an attractive south-facing pool and the friendly site offers peace and tranquility.

Mike and Jo Eveleigh  – previously managers at Tything Barn – have embarked on a new naturist venture of their own. Dolcoed has 15 gravel touring pitches, each with electric hook-ups. In addition, there are grass camping pitches available without electric; and a modern toilet and shower block with shaving points. Nestled in a naturally sheltered site, views from Dolcoed take in the mountainous forested landscapes of the western Brecon Beacons and the Cambrian Mountains.  The young couple have big aspirations for the future and aim to develop the site along the lines of a continental naturist resort.

British naturists Jim and Nikki emigrated to the southern Dordogne in February 2016, where they now offer an attractive gite for two. Set in their 7 acres of tranquil grounds, the detached accommodation at La Foret has its own secluded terrace and use of the skinny-dipping pool shared with the owners. There is plenty of privacy, woodlands to explore and no other guests to disturb the peace.

Due to popular demand, Stephen and Chris have further expanded their naturist vacation portfolio at Vera Playa. They have just been in touch to advise a third holiday property – Apartment Mediterráneo – has been added, in addition to Apartments Miro and Almodóvar. The new and impressively refurbished penthouse accommodation is directly adjacent to the nude beach and boasts panoramic sea views.

We have been in contact with the naturist-friendly owners of Good Life Farm – a 6 hectare finca located at the top of a valley, near the town of Flix, in Catalonia. The property is completely secluded and enjoys far reaching views. Currently olives, almonds and figs are grown, together with recently introduced orange, lemon and avocado trees. A pleasant detached 2-bedroomed Casa is available for holiday rental by one or two couples. Naturists are especially welcome during August. Plans are also in hand to develop a small campsite.

Nigel, the owner of  Casa Cal Domino , has been in touch with us. The large private villa has 4 bedrooms and is situated near Palamos, on Spain’s Costa Brava. The luxury property which is totally private and suitable for naturists, has a video entrance system and wireless broadband internet access. Located 3km from the sea overlooking the medieval village of Calonge, with views of the Mediterranean and mountains. In the grounds a hot tub spa and heated infinity pool can be enjoyed in the buff.

We have been in touch with Kim and Steve, who moved from the UK to northern France during late 2015. They have established a naturist-friendly B&B and small campsite – La Petit Cretouffiere –  in the Pays de la Loire. Their rural and secluded cottage offers 2 guest bedrooms, and there is room for up to five units in the camping field. Electric hook-ups are available.

Finca Ensueno at Macher, southern Lanzarote, is a three-bedroomed villa (all en suite), with its own secluded swimming pool. The property comes with a dishwasher, cable and satellite TV, internet/wi-fi, and outdoor barbecue. The owners describe it as “ideal for naturists”.

Hillside Villa is situated in a mountainous area 3km from the town of Crevillente on the Costa Blanca, 20 minutes drive from Alicante airport, and 40 minutes from Murcia airport. There’s a pool and terrace to soak up the atmosphere of the area or enjoy al-fresco dining in the Spanish sunshine. According to the owners, Lyndis and Leo, “not everyone wishes to be restricted by clothes and in the villa and it’s grounds that is not a problem.” Apparently, a discount is available on production of a naturist clubcard.

L’ Ancien Tabac is a naturist bed-and-breakfast in the heart of the Languedoc, about 15 minutes drive north-west of Pézenas. There are two comfortable rooms, each with ensuite bathrooms and double beds. Behind the house there is a terrace and a secluded garden with a 3×6 metre swimming pool. The beaches of the Mediterranean are about 45 minutes drive. Described as a comfortable, clothing optional environment, ideal for those in search of relaxation combined with a genuine Mediterranean ambiance. Naturist hosts, Anne and Richard, hail from Norway and the UK respectively.

A rustic wooden cottage for two in a private valley at Barão de São Miguel, between Luz and Budens, Western Algarve. Situated in a private water-side setting and ideal for naturism. There’s use of a sauna and swimming in the lake. Within 10 km of the beaches, including nudist ones. The house is completely off grid and has a solar system. So there are not many electric devices (there is a fridge and tv). Cooking is on a gas hob.

Andrew and Debbie Davis offer B&B at their secluded Villa Blanc, at Conques Sur Orbiel, in the Languedoc, not far from Carcassonne. There are four guest bedrooms and the owners invite you to “improve that all-over tan” in their attractive grounds and around the pool. The accommodation is for adults only.

To cope with growing demand, the popular boutique hotel Skinny Dippers, close to the famous Es Trenc nude beach, in Mallorca, has expanded and added self-catering apartments to its naturist portfolio.  The Skinny Dippers Apartments – which have their own pool and gardens – are described as perfect for the independent naturist traveller looking for tranquility with peace and quiet.

Naked Retreat appears to be about discovering new experiences, learning to de-stress and seeing oneself and the world around from a different perspective. Week-long workshops are held in various locations – recent ones have included the Dominican Republic, Portugal, Malta and Gozo. Is it naturism re-invented? Not really, just another variation.

A huge private estate located in the Municipalities of Goudargues and Lussan in the Gard region, north of the city of Uzes, has a ‘Mas’ that’s just been renovated (June 16) and offers five luxury suites. Domaine de la Quiquier includes a 1,000 acres of park and forest, and the accommodation, the pool and in fact the whole estate are described as ‘clothing optional‘.

The fully clothing-optional Vakantie Villas at Buzon, in the Jalon district of the Costa Blanca, consist of 4 independent properties in 1.25 acres of landscaped gardens, 15 minutes from the coast. There is a large shared swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath at the mini-resort.  Owners, Helen and Richard, advise that their prices are especially competitive for the area and are inclusive of all services.
